After a successful 2008 Challenge Series and with an average of 26 MX-5’s on the grid, Ma5da Racing and it’s drivers were rewarded by being granted Championship status by the MSA for the 2009 season, making it the only Mazda MX-5, single class Championship in the UK. The response was amazing with an inaugural BRSCC championship season of full grids and great racing that took the domestic motorsport scene by storm with an average of 32 cars per grid. The 2010 season proved to be even better with a full 20 race calendar over 9 meetings making the MX5 Championship a great value and cost effective series. With over 120 cars eligible for the Championship track-time was booked to cater for a minimum of 60 cars per event.

Confirmed Petrol Head first and foremost, who happens to enjoy photography as a hobby.
I was bitten by the motor sport bug at a young age and prefer long distance sports car racing over single seaters. I also love the passion and enthusiasm of the owners and drivers of historic race cars and find this form of motorsport, as well as rallying, the most spectacular because of the lower grip levels and loose style of driving employed.

Hmmmm, maybe “Wild Bill Photo” on the doors?
I am really glad to hear the MX5 series is so successful!
Willie, you gotta drive one of these! Zoom Zoom up the wazoo!

  • I’ve owned one in the past and would have another one except I can’t get 2 dogs into it. They are a blast to drive.
