I was bitten by the motor sport bug at a young age and prefer long distance sports car racing over single seaters. I also love the passion and enthusiasm of the owners and drivers of historic race cars and find this form of motorsport, as well as rallying, the most spectacular because of the lower grip levels and loose style of driving employed.

I love the Formula 3 here in Australia. Nicely captured at 1/125th (I use from at times 1/80th to 1/200th for panning shots, depending on the speed of the cars and even that is at times with mixed results). Great colours of the car too.

  • I find 1/125 about as slow as I dare go, even with a monopod. I tried 1/80 with some rally cars that weren’t going that fast and suffered badly with camera shake. Thanks for the look and comment Dean.
