The way you have rendered the light on the hanging cloth almost makes you want to squint, again a painting I would like to spend time looking at and into.
Natasha Harsh
Wonderful graphic statement with interesting treatment of depth and light.
Pinkham
Reality is best left in the hands of an artist. You got good hands. Looking at the bottom, can’t take my eyes off the top.
William Stanf... replied
thanks Mr Pinkham for your comments…funny you mentioned hands….the number of times my fingers have solved paint application problems is innumerable….cheers

I really enjoy the color choices in this… The blue and butter-yellow remind me a little of a Maxfield Parish, but not the subject matter. This is so very earthly and strong.
William Stanf... replied
thanks for the comments Elizabeth…the problem with getting paintings photographed is that they really drench the painting with such strong light it tends to wash out the colours….the original paintings are very earthy…as can be seen by the painting in the background of ‘fundraiser’....but your comments do reaffirm to me that the strongest element of a painting is colour…cheers Bill
Chris Baker
