Beautiful light, the dune field at shallow inlet is certainly lovely.

I love the crispness of this… clean and fresh yet somehow gentle. A really special sense of space and simple beauty.

Thanks, I still have to try and get down there for sunrise one day!

Spent many early child hood holidays at Sandy Point, and loved running up and down these sand dunes! Been a year or two since going there – and this view has been in my head the past few days! This pic might well be the inspiration to get down there real soon!

Hi Shep. My family has been heading down there for almost 20 years now and the dunes at the inlet have changed quite a bit in that time. There’s been a lot of revegetation on the ones further inland, so much you can hardly get through them anymore. Recently my parents built their own place down there and I did a canvas print of this image for the house, it looks pretty amazing printed 1.2m wide!

My dad has the old movie films of the family holidays down there, with the brand spanking new Holden Kinswood dwarfed by the huge dunes in the background. Last time I went there, was amazed by how small they had become – or was it that I had aged, and I was 6ft tall, instead of 3ft??!! LOL
