I feel a rage in me
building on the atrocities I see
I feel helpless and confined
we have to do somthing about
commercialism in this town
it should be considerd a crime
they suggest that the answer for
self respect
is the amount of jewelry you wear
the cost of the car you drive
Hell, you got to be tagged from head to toe
I feel my name is just as good as Armani
so why should I wear his name on my chest
to feel secure within myself
besides gold is worthless
If nobody buys it
YOU KNOW
supply and demand
people put too many emphases on material things
personally
I think it’s a catalyst
It’s purpose is to keep you BROKE
while your bling blinging
your pockets are being emptied
with what they’ve regulated regulated as a sign
of wealth and prestige
what you need to KNOW is
material things will inevitably
lead you right back to poverty
while the rich get rich
The poor gets poorer
