Sunset on the Stones
Part of my 20 images that changed my portfolio set.
A beautiful late spring sunset over the Ring of Brogar, Orkney Islands. A magnificent stone circle of neolithic era over 100 metres in diameter. Amazing. Inspiring. Haunting. World Heritage Site.
Thanks for looking

The sunset makes the perfect backdrop to the stones. Gives a most appropriate air of mystery to it.

This is an utterly fabulous shot and I agree with Sheila about the air of mystery! Which stones are these?

Taken at the magnificent Ring of Brogar in Orkney. My home used to overlook the whole area giving the opportunity for compositions in every light.
