how does a seed know the plan
to grow so tall
the grand design of things?

who writes the blueprint, draws the maps
programmes the software
builds the core in things?

how does an Oak tree grow so tall
from a tiny kernel whose cellular structure
knows it all, inside?

our DNA is programmed for a life so complex
we can’t ignore
the Sacredness of it all

even if we came from the apes
who conjured the design
who made the grapes the apes ate?

it makes me wonder as I take it in
the awesome web balancing everything
so well

Grandmother Spider
she weaves the web of the Universe
as we reside within

always connected to the all that is
always subjected
to the tides of life

pondering the gifts of the multi-verse
so rich in the shifts
in our Universe

we live and breathe
gift and receive
grow and endure, love and procure

all within her grace, as she weaves her web in space
Grandmother Spiders embrace
connects us all...

this poem sprang from a conversation I had with Rosa a couple of days ago on my poem Heartfelt where I mentioned the acorn and DNA…then I thought to expand on it, cos it’s a concept I love…

*our DNA is programmed for
a life so complex
we can’t ignore
the Sacredness
of it all

Blessed Be…*

just amazing in’nit, life and all…nice write….I was so tempted to say “Why does a bear shit in the woods”, but that’s obvious, they have trouble fitting in a normal toilet……but that dosn’t answer the question…..“how do they know?”

  • saw a bear in a long drop once…oh sorry, maybe it was a bare arse…praps if you used Sorbent you could coax the little buggers out… :-)

This is fab my friend..my questions in this and many things that have crossed my mind over the years..who knows where the hell we all came from and what was really the beginning..the search continues.

  • Hey Sugar Trench, thanks for the fave, the read and the fab hon…one can’t help but wonder at the beauty of it all…the infinitesimal detail, and the enormity of the design…the wonder and balance of nature…mind blowing really…x

Oh I have got my brain in a tizz reading this……a lovely tizz though…. The age old debate was so cleverly woven in your prose…And it still offers the reader to leave and make up their own mind….I do so like how you posed this. Hmmm me thinks you should go into politics cos you would be able to get those that only think on the one track to venture out and see that in life there are many tracks that all could of some useful merit…
I better get going…..I am starting to ramble again….xx

  • hey Arcadia, how’s tricks?…hahahahahahaha politics…I always blurt out what I’m thinking…not much smoke and mirrors living in my house…and I get sad when people are mean to me…I’d probably cry in the big room where they all say nasty things to each other…or I’d try to get everyone to have a group hug…and want to kill them when they wont…a tad mercurial is me…and as for seeing things from every side…you are so intuitive my friend…my head is a brain storm just waiting to happen…I’m so glad your brain joined the party…big love…xxx

I cannot believe you wrote this. I drew a picture of an acorn yesterday and wrote beside it, how does the mightly oak come from the acorn, we cannot see it there, if we dissected it, but we KNOW it is there………………….. spooky. I apply that philosophy to my life, we need to know who it is we are going to be to get there…………….. we need to believe and get rid of ego and just be who we are meant to be!! Fabulous intuitive write my dear. You should be standing on a soap box with those bright shoes, and reading this aloud. You are as you once said, a walking piece of art, and with words too…….. this is what your grand design wants you to do xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • thanks Sudsy…so nice to see you back on the blower…this poem sprang from a conversation I had with Rosa a couple of days ago on my poem Heartfelt where I mentioned the acorn and DNA…then I thought to expand on it, cos it’s a concept I love…doncha just love synchronicity…I am loving writing regularly and my writing buddies on RB…it’s so cool…fills me up big time…xxx

Hey you, great interweaving going on here, I love the grapes ape bit and the way you connected it all together. Going to make a movie of it? :)

  • hey you, thanks for dropping by…yeah I might…wanna act in it?…you could be the acorn…it’s a dramatic role…will require intense method acting…or perhaps the ape, who ate the grape?…hahahahahahahahaha…x

    You are right!!!
    That is the reason…
    The Thread!…
The whole Universe is the expression of the One…and is like a Tantra….a whole thread where everything is concected. Now..where from the first idea, the first speculation, the first form of Life…?
Invention….progression…tryings….speculation…yes…we are bond to senses…and what the scientist and the mystics are trying to do..is get away from them, or get involved with them in a different way. Becoming….rather than Being..
Our Being is not…nothing is fixed…the essence if miracles is the enormous unsettlement of Substance…of Spirit….nothing is really there..all is a Becoming.
Rosa (loved your writing is thrilling for it is becoming a mystical question to your own heart and reasoning..)

  • Hi Rosa, our short conversation the other day on my poem Heartfelt inspired this poem…so nice to see you again…
analyzing takes us away from being in the moment…the moment already exists right in front of our noses, and analyzing it removes us from the experience of it…it is us trying to control the moment…which is out of our control…
we are all connected, we are still breathing the same air the dinosaurs breathed…we are in a closed atmosphere…every good thought produced…every negative thought produced, they are all energy and energy runs through our nervous systems like electricity…our mind streams pick up the consciousness of all…if someone lets off nuclear weapons, we all breathe the fallout…
and what we touch, we only think we touch, everything is matter vibrating at a rate of knots so fast that the eye cant see it, so we think of it as solid, but it is an illusion…if a tree is made into a table, is it no longer a tree? or does it still hold the essence of tree, but look like a table? and if we change the name of table to duck…is it no longer a table? life is full of mysteries…
why does one person live the life of a Ghandi and another live the life of a serial killer?
there are many names for God: universe, Tantra, emptiness, love, all the gods and goddesses, all the disciples, and all the names in all the other tribes, countries and religions…and the concept remains the same as a perennial philosophy beneath it all…we are all connected…Blessed Be…xxx
