Creativity sings to the soul. Bring it on…
“The greatest thing
you’ll ever learn
is just to love
and be loved in return”
from Moulin Rouge
“Dance like nobody’s watching; love like you’ve never been hurt. Sing like nobody’s listening; live like it’s heaven on earth.’
Mark Twain
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
from Nelson Mandela’s Speech, written by Marianne Williamson

hello
don’t I know you?
as you stare at me
eyes wide
I thought I saw you
in the clouds
when I prayed
for help last night
your face appeared
as
in a dream
and smiled
through my tears
your smile lit
my darkened world
things brightened
so it seemed
OK
tomorrow
is a brand new day
you hugged my heart
and sent me on my way
again
my only friend
when I needed you
lets face it
you were there…

Angels walk amongst us
each and every day
they brush us with their feathered wings
then turn and move away
we feel it in our bodies
know it in our souls
Angels dress as everyman
every being, woman and child
they’re in the world around us
look twice and you will see
a glint of incandescent wing
a feather on a sleeve
a wingtip chiseled out of stone
soft lips with hint of smile
kind eyes that pierce deep within
a heart that listens awhile
an Angel brushed by me today
called back by urgent need
she winged her way to nuzzle me
and wipe away my tears
imagine if your Angel
was heavily disguised
would you still pass by unaware
not an Angel in your eyes?
