BOOMSHACKALACKA

The following shots were taken in the Peak Down Table Lands central Queensland from the 3/12/2007 throught too the 5/12/2007.

BoomShackaLacka is the most largest bolt of lightning I have photographed. The noise poped my eardrums when it hit and was follwed be several other strikes in chillingly close proximity.

These were taken on the 4/12/2007 on the scale of storms I’ve wittnessed this was the most violent and exciting. The lightning created a fantastic blue throughout the sky hese the names, Indigo, Azura, Cobalt, the same night also produced Entwined, Simplistic and Twisted.

These shots were taken with a Nikon F80 slide film. With the exposure times of mostly 30 seconds due to the frequency of lightning strikes.

Its amazing how thick some bolts look…But, its even more amazing that, that bolt of lightning you have here, is no wider than a Pencil!!!

This is a really neat shot, the small tree right in front of the strike gives a really nice size comparison.

    Well done!
