I took this with my wide angle lens… it’s kind of funny, yet sort of cool. =) he he
We were sitting on the sidewalk in Steamboat Springs Colorado on 4th of July, waiting for the parade to start. (My husband said I could upload this… )

So, is this Doug? It is a very cool shot indeed, love the reflection of you in it, also has a bit of an HDR “feel” to me.

    Yes, this is Doug. =)
I added Lucisart filter to it………… so much easier then HDR.

    Thank you Andy!

Kimmie, this is indeed way cool. I`m just starting to get the hang of what I can do with my new 16-35mm (on the EOS 5D, this is extreme wide) and I think the coolest results are from close portraiture just as you`ve done here. But you carried it a step further with your processing and came up with something totally outside of cool. This is an amazing shot and I love it!

  • Thank you BB! It’s nice to hear from you…. I LOVE my wide angle, and the results are amazing. This lens is Canon EF-S 10-22mm. It is great fun. I really like this shot with it too.

The shot you put in your reply is cool too. I love the angle distortions you can get which you can pretty much control by proximity to the subject. Your EF-S 10-22 is the equivalent folcal length of mine. I can see lots of fun ahead for both of us!
