Awesome shot of that big kitty. Is that a pool I see in the background?

  • Kimberly Palmer replied

Thanks Mary….. we call it a spool. Too small to be a pool, and to big to be called a spa. = ) It is a real big hot tub however, with jets, waterfall, etc. We can warm it up, or keep it cool.

Great shot – good timing! I don’t like cats in my yard either – I found a little dead bird on my lawn the other evening – I know exactly which cat got it too. But hey – at least you got a great shot out of it!

  • Kimberly Palmer replied

    Thank you, Jan!
Yup, this guy here has ran off with 1 in his mouth that I witnessed, (i nearly chased him to his owners house) and we have a few bird bodies on the side of our yard. I love cats, but darn it…..

The owners did to put a big bell around his neck…what a mammoth cat, great capture ~ Anni :)

  • Kimberly Palmer replied

Thank you, Anni – I wish they would do just that!

Oh my goodness! When I viewed the thumbnail, I thought this was a coyote or a mountain lion! I had to laugh when I realized it was “just a cat,” but what a cat! I can see why you shoo him off; he looks like he could put a big dent in your bird population! Great photo and what good heartedness on your part to let the “enemy” drink!

  • Kimberly Palmer replied

    thanks, Bonnie!
I’m saddened to report that this guy here has captured 1 bird that I witnessed him run off with, and I have saved a couple that he had in his mouth… unfortunately, we have some bird bodies in our side yard, and this really bothers me. I found them after I took this shot (not on the same day)... who knows if it is him, but he lives across the street, so it’s easy access. :(

He is a big kitty, but it’s all fur. Next time, I think I’ll just have to scare him off…. which I usually do.
