Dry Dry Dry

I live in Northern California and we are officially in a drought. It typically is dry this time of year, but this is VERY dry. Fire danger is HIGH and there have already been many fires in Northern Cal. I shot this yesterday from our vehicle with a wide angle lens.

    Looks more like sand dunes in the desert than grassland! Even in the drought, though, there is beauty in these earth tones that meet the sky and create a beautiful color palette.

    oh I love this and really relate to it as I’ve taken some shots around our area in NSW, Australia. Drought is so devastating and the country in your area looks incredibly dry, parched and very thirsty. If it wasn’t so sad I’d say this would be a wonderful shot.
    Amazing how similar sthn california and Australia are in many ways. Just didn’t know we had this in common too!

    it’s crazy dry, and so many fires now too.
