Cruising

It’s extremely satisfying when as a photographer you capture an image like this. It’s that microsecond of crystallisation of all factors that make a great image (even if I say so myself).
This is a female Galah ( a native Australian Parrot) that is both numerous and widespread in this country. Large flocks of them frequent grain and cropland areas and they are even more common in some suburban areas with parks and gardens than they used to be.
