Should I stay or should I go now? These adult Adelie penguins have decided to leap into the sea from an ice floe in the Weddell Sea, Antarctica. Adelies are declining throughout much of the Antarctic Peninsula region as climate change is melting the necessary ice from many former nesting and breeding areas. Gentoo penguins are replacing the ice-dependant Adelies in many of these areas. Literally Adelies are being forced to jump for their lives further and further south.
