July 8th on the National Geographic Explorer in the high Arctic of Svalbard and this young female polar bear decides to inspect our ship, which is shut down and wedged into the fast ice. Total curiosity and no hesitation whatsoever. Who are these odd creatures visiting the frozen north? What a privilege and pleasure to pique the curiosity of the true symbol of the north!

Your work is amazing, I love it! These are places I dream of going, and wildlife I’d be honored and humbled to see; so nice to see it via RB. Thanks for sharing. Great story to go with this curious guy! You have perfect timing!

Thanks! It was a pretty amazing day, so much more as this polar bear crossed a lot of fast ice to get to the ship, which was shut down. One of those days that you know you are privileged!
