Artist's Description

Most commonly found across northern Australia, Red-tailed Black Cockatoos are dependant on large trees, generally eucalypts with hollows for nesting. However two populations of the five sub-species, the Forest red-tailed Black Cockatoo and the South-eastern Red-tailed Black Cockatoo are threatened in the south of the country, due to the clearing of native forest habitats.
