Vibrant fields of scarlet poppies set a blaze ,
my mind was surly in another place.
Running free and without care inside a painted maze
I stood on my tipsy toes reaching towards what they say is outer space
If my body became a block of stone, I would not have known
I caught a glimpse of the impish look drawn across his face.
I was floating, set adrift, beyond this vanilla human race.
Like a child letting go of a balloon, I followed, giving chase
In the distance evening clouds build and bellow
And all I can think of are my precious red poppies
Set ablaze in the distantance of my meadow….
A little whisper calling out my given name
I am gone rising above and beyond the pain.
Glimmers of sunshine , reflected into my hazel eyes
as his mouth slips into the valley between my wetted thighs.
I am gone lover, I am gone, chasing butterflies.
I am’ free ’I hear him say tenderly to me
As I take passage on that grand ship out on his sea.
We travel where ever the winds may lead,
We travel as I rest before him, knelling on my knees.
His sign of ownership circumference me.
My eyes speak, “ I am wild come and get me.”
Far beyond this same old vanilla race
Like a kings silver platter with so much to taste
He bounds me now with chains along my waist
As I catch firsthand the look of the devil dwelling on his face.
I am soaring even higher, far away into another place.
And I know out there somewhere,
there are poppies set ablaze.
To my M.
You so inspire me, ripples of 5 I beg with a pretty please….besides, my floors are way to clean…..
