This was my Arabian mare, Bint Wardah. It means Daughter of the Desert Rose in Arabic. We just called her Rose. I was cleaning her stall, and she was having a bit of Cabin Fever here. And anyone’s who’s ever been around Arabians, you know they can’t be PENNED long. And this ice storm stuck around for a long time. She scooted out the door, and you can see the surprise on her face when she found what awaited her. She skidded to a stop, sighed deeply, and literally TIPTOED back to the barn. Then she just waited patiently in the aisle way until I was finished, and walked back in her stall. Never heard another word from her. No more Mommy Can I Go Out And Play…This is a vintage 1980s digitalized scanned photo. She was 27 here, and is long gone. I still miss her. Photo taken with a Minolta SLR 35 mm film..
