This is dedicated to all people faced with a moral choice, to discriminate or not to! This is a humbling place, with the ghosts of all the pain and suffering that went on here. And this statue says it all: OPPORTUNITY! I’m sure most people know what Central High School in Little Rock, Ark USA represents. The struggles that were fought for equal rights in the 1950s were played out under the watchful eye of this statue. THIS is THAT school. I knew I took this photo of ‘A Statue’, but when I got back home and began editing them on my computer, I was startled by her direct gaze. It sat me back!!! Oh, if those lips could speak. Whenever I feel the world pressing down on me, I walk through this school, and read the names of the Little Rock Nine cemented in the benches, and it puts me in my place. NOTHING I’m going through is as painful as what those nine CHILDREN went through! I’m Irish, and I can feel their pain…….Taken 2013, with a SanyoVPC-E2100.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since the old Swinger Camera days (remember those?). EVERYWHERE I go, my cameras go. My friends and family gave up trying to separate us a long time ago….But I’m relatively new to digital photography. I keep saying “Where have you been all my life…?” There are so many beautiful images on Red Bubble. I’m SO inspired!
