The harvested rice fields(and newly planted wheat fields, which can be destroyed in hours!) are a magnet to ducks and geese. We’re the rice and duck capital of the world, and I think, geese, too! The guides and hunters pour about 1 to 1 1/2 million dollars a day into our local economy, for a 60 day season! The Grand Prairie where I live, (in Stuttgart, Ark USA) is ideal for rice, its a dense soil. So the birds come by the thousands, we’re glad to see them. Although the wheat farmers may say different…Taken this fall, after the harvest, with a Sanyo VPC E2100.
