Geese Gaggle by WildestArt
Clear

The harvested rice fields(and newly planted wheat fields, which can be destroyed in hours!) are a magnet to ducks and geese. We’re the rice and duck capital of the world, and I think, geese, too! The guides and hunters pour about 1 to 1 1/2 million dollars a day into our local economy, for a 60 day season! The Grand Prairie where I live, (in Stuttgart, Ark USA) is ideal for rice, its a dense soil. So the birds come by the thousands, we’re glad to see them. Although the wheat farmers may say different…Taken this fall, after the harvest, with a Sanyo VPC E2100.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since the old Swinger Camera days (remember those?). EVERYWHERE I go, my cameras go. My friends and family gave up trying to separate us a long time ago….But I’m relatively new to digital photography. I keep saying “Where have you been all my life…?” There are so many beautiful images on Red Bubble. I’m SO inspired!

Now this one just makes me sick, I shot the nearly same image in northeast missouri a couple of years ago then got home and found out the focus on my lens was turned off. Snow Geese, they are so beautiful in such large numbers, Outstanding image.
