Dedicated to grand daughters everywhere!…My grandfather on my dads side was a full blood Cherokee. I didn’t realize before just how much I missed him until I laid out his things for this still life. I cried, and hes been gone for a long time. I miss his gentle ways and his inborn love and respect for nature. He turned my dad into a lifelong successful rice farmer in S. E. Arkansas, USA. My brother and I also got our love of nature from him. Included here is his Barlow Pocketknife, pocket watch, compass, straight razor and shaving brush, WW II ration coupon, snuff can & tobacco coupons. I remember him using a lot of these these things in the 1960s. I was honored when he gave them to me as a small child. Its a testament of my love for him, that a 10 yrd old girl can keep up with it all, plus this tiny ration stamp, in pristine condition. I moved and lived in 9 states!….Taken with a SanyoVPC-E2100.
