This is dedicated to all those photographers who occasionally (ok ALWAYS) break and bend the rules to Get The Shot…….I am actually past the safety barricade at the dam, leaning out OVER the cement flood skirt, OVER the flood water to get this! I could FEEL the power of this water vibrating in the 2 ft wide skirt. I could smell and hear it mere feet below me….I could almost touch it! But had to hurry, because the guard had gone to the bathroom and was returning soon! LOL….This is the dam and Highway 79 bridge, over the Arkansas River at flood stage, below Pine Bluff, Ark, USA. I loved the fog and the reflection of the HUGE log jam. Something that is very bad for the dam workings. The log can cause the lock not to close properly. Someone will have to remove it!!! It USED to be my nephew who did this, when he worked for the Army Corps. I’m glad he now works for the arsenal! LOL A BIT safer…..Taken with a SanyoVPC-E2100.
