Lake Eyre is the biggest salt lake in Australia, with a catchment area of 1.3 million square kilometres. It is roughly the size of South Australia, and sits 16 metres below sea level being the lowest point in Australia. Lake Eyre has filled just 3 times in the past 150 years. Perhaps it will all happen again in 2011 as it did in 2010. Our Lake Eyre Outback Highlights Tour with Wilderness Wanders shows the true brilliant picture.
