This beautifully restored and partially rodded Caddy is owned by my friend and colleague Huey. I caught him cruising at Riverside Friday nite, even though he tried to sneak past! LOL!
Nice try Huey…

Bill, I new Riverside was slightly on the decline, but I had no idea the mountains had crumbled to desert….L.O.L. Just kidding. Great sense of motion in the front wheel and such clarity everywhere else for a rolling shot. Huey better give you all the money for this one

  • Hi Steve, the place was absolutely crazy on Friday night! Open headers, wheelies, burnouts, fire breathers, and a thousand cars circling around downtown! I shot over 900 pics on Friday until sunset and Saturday until noon. I wore out a pair of Shape-ups! Actually filled a 2 gig chip and had to change it…a first for any car show.

wow… nicely done really great brown to blue greydation (sp?)… that’s difficult to get to look good

  • Thanks Jill! I’m getting better with the gradients and smoothing the transitions. Need to match ground colors and reflections in the car, then maybe add a blue sky! Just having fun…

Nice work Bill. I’m going to get “NIK Complete” software and I don’t know if I can select or do gradients. May have to get PSE9 just for that.

  • Thanks Paul! This car is flawless!
I have the NIK software on a CD for demo use, but haven’t tried it. I understand you can download a free trial then buy full usage after 30 days.
I did see it demonstrated at Nikon school, and you can batch process for light adjustments, etc.

Great shot and processing on this one Bill… It is an excellent looking Caddy that’s for sure… All curves and chrome.. very typical of the era I suppose… Nice work mate.

  • Thanks Keith! These were the classiest rides back in the time, and looking pretty classy 60 years later! of course the 22" rims and the airbag job help!
