Collective voices.....

Collectively the little people could see
Content and happy
Until the big people pushed in front blocking their view
So the little people couldn’t see

Cross as can be
They spoke out in unity
Pushing in was just rude and naughty
The big people moved reluctantly

The moral being;
Big people can see over little people
Little people can’t see through big people
If you want a good view, wait in the queue
Get there early and take your pew

Collective voices..... by

I went to a concert last week and a group of us shorties, about 20 of us, got there early, found our pitch and waited for 3 hours, then just before the main act comes on some tall people steamed in through us and stood in our view…. the poem itself tells the rest…. off my chest now…. lol

I welcome critical reviews of my work…please bubble me if you have any constructive comments….

This is me, my work…life is a collections of moments, captured by camera, pen or with a brush. I try to do my best to let you see the world from my eyes and inside… thank you for visiting :¬))

Yeah! Let’s hear it for the little people!!! Concert, movies – always happens to this 5’2" person. Sorry for your experience. Love a good write with a moral. : ) xoxo

  • thanks, it was definitely one of those ‘yeah’ moments… I didn’t need to speak out as there were those more than willing… it makes me smile now but we were all a little peeved at the time… concert was great… made better by the fact the view wasn’t competely blocked…

awwww i know i hate when this happens… or you go to the movies and someone tall sits in front of you ! lol i feel ur pain :)

  • I know… I went to a top footie match once, paid £50 for my ticket… had to ask a man to move, don’t mind paying that sort of money to watch the game, but the back of someones head…so not right! The joys of being a shortie!!!

Don’t worry, some day some giants will get ahead of them and they will see their own mistakes. Life has a way of coming back to us and letting us know how the other world lives. Patience will fortell their futures, LOL Hope you enjoyed anyways. Great read~

  • thank you and yes I did enjoy….

Oh yessss, it is very annoying and down right rude…queue jumpers anywhere give me the irks. Wonderfully expressed Wigs, very disciplined in getting this off your chest now, you have a generous spirit. So glad you still enjoyed the concert. :-D

  • thanks Lisa…… it was good, but in future I think I’ll opt for seats…great atmosphere standing but a better view sitting and more chance of seeing…

I’m a tall chap and I am alwas so aware of my height when I am at concerts and things. I can’t stand it when people push infront. Here in Germany there seems to be a habit of people who have just a couple of items ina supermarket que, think that it gives them the right to push to the front of the que. Some people ask the person thatthey directly push infront of, if it is ok but what about the rest of the people behind them?? Ooh it boils my bacon. I have no problem if somebody asks me but most of the time they don’t. Grrrrrrrr

Anyway enough moaning :o) This is smashingly happy little piece of writing and I love the way you have managed to have a good old moan without being negative. That is a very special skill and one that I wish I had

  • if only you’d seen my FB post yesterday…. negativity can be so soul destroying…. I much prefer to be positive or look to be where possible, I just think I need to share that ability with some of those around me….. :)

and hey if the tall chap is there before me no complaints…but after then its a different story as said in this piece…. :)
