I trusted you....

I sat there and let you go
You just get up and walk
What else am I supposed to do?
You don’t want to talk

I suspected there was someone else
Of which you deny
But your friends were not so loyal
Couldn’t keep up with your lies

I trusted you unconditionally
With all of my heart
I just can’t believe
We’re going to be apart

My head is in turmoil
My heart worn to shreds with pain
Tears hurt running down my face
Like ice in the rain

I’m scared and abandoned
How will I cope
Everything in my life
Has been under a microscope

You knew my every move
But me not yours
It appears you could hide anywhere
Even through a glass door

You will do the same to her
Of that I am sure
Let her gain your trust
Then sneak out the back door

The scars you left
Will one day heal
And I will be free to love again
Loose the hatred you make me feel

I’m still sat here long after you’ve gone
Silently stunned and bewildered
The tears slowly drying up
Unable to utter a single word
