This is me…...
Out of the blue I feel like a liberated Jack in the Box
Shut away for years and now out in shock
Released and bouncing around, full of creativity
My mind doesn’t seem to want to stop indefinitely
Pictures and images displayed vividly in my mind
I just need to get out there and see what I can find
Words play at every moment, going round and round
Sifting through my head, until I write them down
By my bed I keep a notepad, a thesaurus and dictionary
So when my mind won’t sleep, I do what now seems ordinary
Dreams have been replaced with thoughts and ideas
Finally I drift of to sleep as the light of dawn nears
I’ve made lots of new friends, with my talent I’m exploring
Useful feedback, lots of lovely comments, all of which I’m adoring
If some of my work doesn’t make sense, forgive me I like to experiment
Some of work might be dark but be assured I’m cheerful at the moment
I want to keep this feeling of originality and motivation
Full of eagerness, hope and most of all inspiration
To share my work with those who’ll take stock
In the hope that no one comes along and shuts my box
