United Colours of Religion: The First Supper
In this work i changed Da Vincis work/title into the first supper with the intention to bring all major religions together in one strong image. In the background you can find pieces of other works i have made about the different religions.
Still it was forbidden to show this artwork in an exhibition in Jakarta in 2006 because the gallery was too scared to show it, thinking about the majority of moslims and their influence in the Indonesian capital.
The original is 140×280 cm, 3 panels, acrylic on canvas.

Ronald Wigman
Thanks! Its a large painting and i wish a good public spot for it in the future!

A wonderful piece. I’m afraid religion will always provoke strong opinions.
Ronald Wigman replied
Indeed, but in a positive way as well!
Barry Thomas
I’m sure of that Ronald, and your paintings deserve greater exposure. Two of my sons are Buddhists, and we have some great discussions.
