Orchestral Manourves In The Dark were one of the best Electronic Groups of the 1980’s with a string of classic songs and albums. Here lead singer Andy McCluskey is singing ‘Enola Gay’ a super happy tune which hides the deep lyrics about the first atom bomb being dropped on Japan. Enola Gay was the name of the plane carrying the bomb.
OMD caught on tour at The Regent, Ipswich, England, 5th Nov 2010. I also saw them here approx 29 yrs ago !

You’re showing your age with these shots. Brings back great memories of the 80’s for me too. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks Sue. They are still amazing to watch. Andy McClusky really doesn’t need to do a workout in the gym the amount of dancing and effort he puts into the show. Cheers Wiggy
