Storm in a Teacup – is s a idiom, which means a petty disagreement, fuss about something of little importance. If someone exaggerates a problem or makes a small problem seem far greater than it really is, then they are making a storm in a teacup. There are many variations of the above saying, including a Tempest in a teapot , (American English). I think we all know someone who creates a storm in a teacup!!! :)

Whilst researching the origin of the above saying I came across the followig Storm in a Teacup London
Feminist Arts Collective

floral teacup, teacup, cup and saucer, storm, stormy seas, sea, tall ship, storm clouds, lightening, key, pink ribbon
