Appreciation

Fruit grace trees and flowers bloom
The season changes as we move through
Months of sunshine then rain to cloud
The earth shines its glow over morning dew
Light brings our blue skies hiding the stars beyond
Yesterday is gone while today is yet to be
In the air we breathe we live to see
The beauty that inhabits us from this part of the world
Beyond our shores, across the sea
All around us holds value, the keys to being free
In a time of turmoil for mankind
Somehow we find unity
As the evolution of our souls takes place
Under suns and moons of blood spilt consequence
Growing from the awareness of acceptance
While we repeat our ancestors games of war
We remind the human race of what is important
We wake up from our 9 to 5 routines and see an open door
We feel our hate as a disease
A test we must endure
To find love in everything we despise and abhor
In the world and our inner selves
Bringing us peace to not fear
What we don’t know
Giving freedom to enjoy what we adore
