Beautiful shot Simon. I love the lighting and the way you have caught the dust. The LB adds a great feel of age to the picture.

  • Simon Whittaker replied

Wow, thanks so much for the comment Mat, I really appreciate it. The LB is fast becoming my favourite lens.

  • Jim DeMore

    Simon,
Love the look and feel of this shot. I feel that I’m privileged to be looking into a space I probably shouldn’t be…a space that has been undisturbed for quite some time. This this your wine cellar?
    jimd

  • Simon Whittaker replied

Hey mate, thanks for taking the time to sneak a peak. I am sad to say that we bought the wine rack despite the fact my wife and I don’t really drink wine it just looked so nice and we had been given all this wine by a friend. As for the dust, well that is just a combination of plain slackness and a sign of a very busy household.

  • Jim DeMore

    Jim DeMore

Really thought you and the wife went out on a tour of a winery and ventured away from the group…to see the “good stuff””!

  • Simon Whittaker replied

I am flattered Jim, If you send me your email address I will send you a couple of other photos if you like, they just aren’t candidates for RB. I called this shot “vino” because I was thinking I owed you a B&W and I think DeMore would have to be an Italian surname? So that is my dedication to you.
Thanks again mate and keep outa that wind!

  • Jim DeMore

    Jim DeMore

Thanks again Simon and yes DeMore is very Italian. My Dad…100%. Will send e-mail adress on BMail.

A classic shot…dusty bottles and lighting here are brilliant!
I love my wine Simon just wish I could collect more instead of drinking all of it as soon as I get it home.

  • Simon Whittaker replied

Ha ha ha, I have the perfect solution. Re-cork the bottles and keep them in the “reviewed” section, if you can’t drink the stuff you may as well collect beer coasters! Thanks for the compliment too – love your work.
