chickens, chooks, woodblock, hand coloured, printmaking, roosters, traditional art, animalart

I simply enjoy the challenges of drawing, painting, printmaking and photography. My inspiration is derived from many different sources, but mostly all from places, events and emotions I have actually experienced, and from my family and other people I have met and loved.

Love the expression on their faces. They are really looking into my room with a searching look in their eyes as if I am a subject of chook-science-study. I am just a man guys … I did nothing. Great how you depicted the feathers. Their jackets look so vivid and happy. Good choice to make such a vague suggestion of a landscape in the background. Good art again.

  • Martin, I just love your responses to peoples’ work……you have a great way of seeing things, and you are always so encouraging. I can’t thank you enough for your support and friendship.

Oh their eyes are too fabulous!! I love this Elaine!! And your colouring is wonderful – love the addition of the complimentary blues.

  • Many, many thanks, Marion! I’m very pleased with the effect of the colours. In the actual print the colours are much “cleaner” looking, so the prints have more light to them, and are a little brighter. I’m going to try to take a better photograph over the weekend, to replace this one.
