Damian
Wonderful image! It’s a really interesting way to show the loss, like she’s now fading away from where she always used to be. The background textures feel like more faces of those gone before, blurred and faded, but still there watching.
Elaine van Dyk
Thank you for that Damian…...your comments are very helpful. It’s important to know how one’s work comes across to others.

Which one is you, Whirli?
Elaine van Dyk
I’m the cheeky baby sister!
Helene Kippert
I like the fade too whirli – we are all aurrounded by ghosts and this seems to speak of this.
davecurtain

Elaine van Dyk
Hi Helene, I’m pleased this is coming across as I intended – thanks for your views on this work.
Dave, thank you too. Believe me, there is so much I don’t know about PS! I just experiment with layers and layers and layers, until I get the effect I’m most satisfied with.
Bernd Jansons
Somehow I was pretty confident that was you in the middle. Love the smile. And I often feel like my loved ones are still with me. And, of course, they are and always will be. TC.

You have done such a wonderful job of conveying loss … with knowledge that loss is not in end Whirli!! I really feel from this so much!!
Elaine van Dyk
Craig, you are so kind – thank you for your comments.

Rayjun
Lovely creation Whirligig, I can always have memories of those who cared for me and who I still care, but when they are no longer physically with us I believe they can still be as close as your picture suggests.
Elaine van Dyk
What a lovely comment Rayjun. Thank you very much for this.
EarthquakeBee
I dont care to type this. This one made my eyes wet. THe way you have done this one, has taken me to hidden memories. I;m still watching it. Thanks Whirly.
Elaine van Dyk
I’m really touched by your comment EarthquakeBee – I know most of us have suffered loss and feel terrible sadness at times, but it’s the happy memories that we keep alive that are important.
