The rosellas are such beautiful birds. What you have done with the background is good as it allows the beautiful colors to come through and not clutter up the work!! interesting!

Thanks Sabine, Shanina and Craig. Yes, they are really gorgeous birds. I just can’t get enough of Australia’s beautiful birdlife – it’s such an amazing country. One day I saw 5 different sorts of parrots/cockatoos on the golf course (apart from various other incredible bird species).

We are so lucky in Oz Whirli, although we don’t get many Rosellas up here, every morning we get the Kookas, Rainbows and the cute little Greenies, noisey little devils too..but I don’t mind;)

    Thanks Steve, for your comment.

Yes, Shanina, we are extremely lucky in Oz. The noise of the birds has never bothered me. I especially love waking up to the Tawny Frogmouths calling. We had a Frogmouth nest in the tree over our driveway – made an awful mess on the driveway and any car parked there, but was worth it just to see the little Frogmouth chicks leaning over the nest peering down at us. Memories that last a lifetime.

Hail Felix from the UK! Thanks for commenting on this image. I’m sure you’d have loved these parrots even more if you’d experienced them in real life. There were heaps and heaps of them in the forest, sitting on people’s heads and arms, and all over the ground.

Complex and visually hard yet seeming simple. To me, of course. That’s a combination that makes if simply good.
