Much appreciated, Claudia.
Solomon Walker
a superb woodcut, fantastic design!
Elaine van Dyk replied
Thank you Solomon. This one was hard work – the woodblock was very difficult to carve into because it was too splintery, but it also produced some interesting effects.
Marion Chapman
wonderful textures.
Elaine van Dyk replied
Thanks for your feedback Marion.

It is such a happy print.
The cat is smilling.
It has an “oldfashion” feeling about it, when life was innocent and pure.
Elaine van Dyk replied
I guess kittens have that effect on us, don’t they. They seem to always bring back feelings of childhood innocence. Thanks for your comments.

Great print, I know how long it takes to create such an image, very impressed with all the detail
Elaine van Dyk replied
Lovely comment, NomadicGoddess – thank you so much. It’s always good to know when someone realises the effort that goes into printmaking. It’s such a labour-intensive process, so it is really rewarding if one gets a reasonable result.
