Here is Lawford’s heartwarming interpretation, The Shed.

Ozcloggie added I met a shearer once, which I’m sure you’ll all enjoy as well.

Charlotte’s New Beginnings, is yet another, totally different interpretation, and also well worth reading

What a fabulous title Wirli!!! so imaginative, and a fabulous shot to go with it, the light seems to dance – wonderful!!!
davecurtain
love the shards of light piercing the corrugated cladding
Anne van Alkemade
are those holes, bullet holes? The equipment looks quite scary too – what is it?
I’m trying to change the way my eyes look at it and now, rather than a hiding place I think I see a place to congregate, maybe do the laundry and … “chatter”. The light looks like it’s trying to ooze in through the eaves. I so love this image. It suggests so much.

the way the light streams through every hole and gap in the cladding of the building give it that old antique feel, enhancing the effect on unused old machines. lovely feel!!!
Susan Grissom
I agree with above , love the way the light is filtering with this soft light in a place that feels like no one has been there for awhile.

Elaine van Dyk
Lawford, thank you so much for posting this link to your story. I’m thrilled it inspired you to write about it.
Ozcloggie
I’m glad I did not know that this was set in South Africa. It might have stopped me from being motivated to write about how strange it is that some, really minor events stay in one’s memory.
(Of course I’m jealous of Lawford, for getting a mention! Sob.)
Elaine van Dyk
Hey Ozcloggie, you have a mention too – I keep updating my journal and the description as soon as I become aware of new stories/writings relating to this image.
