You have got some great textures in this collagraph Whirligig. I am assuming you used tin foil for the sky, it looks so effective.

Well-chosen title. I haven’t seen Melbourne in winter for nearly twenty years but this captures the mood, all right.

Thanks LostBoy1. But it’s rather drab compared to your bright and quirky work!

I loved this work so much I just had to leave a comment.
Simply the most beautiful thing I have ever had the pleasure to see.
It truely is a work of art.
I especially love the depth and texture as well as the atmosphere it brings.
The blues are so vibrant and beautiful.
Well done.
I am no artist, just a poet, but I must say it is a Masterpiece. I simply adore it….

MunificentChild, thank you so much for such a lovely comment, which is all the more appreciated because you say you are not a visual artist yourself, but have simply stopped by to let me know how much you adore this work. That means a lot to me.

Thank you very much, Lyndsey. Encouraging words like those do so much to spur me on to work even harder.

you welcome “ELAINE VAN DYK”
I just added some beautiful poetry if you would like to have a read.
I think you might enjoy the one called “Metamorphosis” its about the description of a butterfly.
And Its almost like a painting, but with words instead of paint. I hope you can see my descriptions. lol Its free-verse though, no rhyme… Well thanx and hope you enjoy it…
love to hear your take on it.. _

I love this collagraph print—is it done with an etching press or by hand? Beautiful control of your shapes and very effective textural effects!
Elaine van Dyk in reply to robyn nuttall’s comment, 5 months ago
Thank you for your feedback, robyn. It was done a long time ago, but from recollection it was run through the etching press.
