mill lane

Artist's Description

Taken on a Holga plastic ‘toy’ camera.
A laneway in Dublin 8. The building in the centre is a protected structure, one of the few surviving ‘Dutch Billys’ built around this part of the city in the 1700s by Huguenot immigrants. They lived and worked in this area, weaving and dying linen, giving the area its name: The Tenterfields.
