Returning from another day of leaf peeping while on the waterfall trail, I stopped for a moment to look upward. While a wonderland of autumn beauty filled the lower reaches of the forest, it was the sky and treetops above me that really caught my eye. Tall sugar maples stretch toward the cerulean sky to gain access to precious sunlight, their burnished leaves creating a golden canopy King Midas would envy. In the midst of all this, a willowy maple tree seems to be dancing, its arm and braided hair swinging to the tempo of the breeze.

Hey, Dot. Finally back atcha, kiddo. Sigh…getting behind as usual and I’m grumpy that I’m not checking in with my favorite artists, you being one of them, happy goddess of grunge…:-)) It’s always a pleasure hearing from you. You make one’s heart sing. Thanks!

Marilyn, thank you and Dot for stopping by. I just had the most marvelous although brief jaunt through your portfolio. Drat, not enough time to enjoy your beautiful vision of art but I will return when time permits. Keep having fun with your searches for the unusual and hidden. Love your abstracts!

Craig, thank you very much. This was one happy happenstance when I looked up to find the forest canopy so much more interesting than what surrounded me at eye level. I appreciate you stopping by!
