Every night Hong Kong’s Harbor hosts a laser/light show that lasts for 15 minutes. It’s a beautiful sight, choreographed to music that is broadcast over a local radio channel.
Unable to lug along my heavy tripod due to stringent airline checked luggage policies, I settled for a monopod. Bracing my lens against my hotel room window, I accidentally found myself gently sliding against the window…okay,I confess it was it was the wine that caused that to happen! Still, my gentle lurch ended up producing an unintended consequence that I liked. While I could have achieved better zoom results using a tripod, the old monopod ended up helping to create a fun image of Hong Kong Harbor on LSD.
