Photographed from a balloon, the 8000-plus pagodas in Bagan, Burma take on a dreamy quality in the dry season when dust, heat and haze create a sepia-toned image.
A visual treat for photographers, Bagan offers subject material around every curve of the path one takes. Ancient pagodas dot the landscape. Virtually everywhere one looks, there are more pagodas, many of them still in use by worshipping Buddhists.

It is my sincere wish that visitors to my portfolio experience the beauty and wonder of nature. Moreover my hope is that my photographs will inspire viewers to be proactive toward the protection of wildlife and its habitat, those efforts ultimately making a far better world for all beings.

Lisa, thank you. I’m delighted you enjoyed this image. I was told to return to Bagan in or after the rainy season for clearer skies but I must admit that the hazy in the dry season air added a different character to the scene.
