Mother Alaskan brown bear (Ursus arctos) at Brooks River, Katmai National Park, Alaska, USA. Mother bruin was fishing near the bridge spanning the Brooks River, the same bridge tourists must cross in order to walk to the Brooks River Falls bear observation platform. This bridge is often temporarily closed due to bears being in the bridge’s vicinity, which was the case when this mother bear fished for herself and her cub.
