Playing around with a spring daffodil on a sunny morning, the effects of club soda caused the tiny flower to appear as a glass blown artist’s rendition of the flower.

Tiny daffodils bloom in Illinois USA in early Spring.

    how beautifully creative!! great effect!!

  • The credit for the idea must go to my husband. Spring daffodils have just surfaced in my neck of the northern hemisphere woods. This little sacrificial flower was a perfect model. The next day the daffodils were covered by several inches of snow. Sigh…that’s Spring in the American Midwest.

I like this effect. We have some drooping narcissus/mini-daffodils, but no club soda. I’ll just enjoy your creativity and skill here.

  • Thank you, Jan. The little daffodil was a lovely subject. Today I was grocery shopping. While perusing tomatoes and peppers my attention was captured by some perfect tulips. Some ideas for photographing them in spring rains came to mind. This is what makes photography fun, don’t you think?

    Extraordinary creativity,,,,,,lovelovelovei it :)))))

  • LindaB, you are so kind to say this. I don’t even like club soda but it sure “liked” the little daffodil, covering it with silvery “glass” bubbles.

What an awesome idea, your have a very creative mind.

  • You are so kind to say this, SKNickel but the credit for the idea behind this shot must go to my husband. We were photographing objects in club soda when all of a sudden my hubby walked over to me with a perfect little daffodil from the spring garden. Voila!

    Absolutely stunning!!!!!

  • Sharon, I am so happy you enjoyed this image. It’s only recently that I’ve become interested in macro photography yet I’m finding it to be so rewarding. You have such beautiful macro work, Sharon that I’m finding myself even more inspired to delve more deeply into macro work. Thank you for stopping by!

Well, it must be the photographer. My results with a tiny daffodil/narcissus? The poor dear closed up and looked quite submarine-like. I actually felt guilty.

  • Jan, you were working with a “diva” of a daffodil rather than a cooperative one! :))
