Preston River rail overpass near The Cut at Bunbury WA where the sleepers are actually painted white…

Perhaps it has something to do with being near saltwater? Or maybe they resist buckling rails in the heat? Anyway these are the only painted sleepers that I have ever seen anywhere..

I love the sunlight here on the rails giving the impression of two long gold bars !!!
