I think this wonderful Aussie icon photograph is a real stand-out.
You have under exposed beautifully just as I do to many of my brightly lit wildflowers and produced a striking effect.
I know there are many, (including judges), who do not seem to appreciated what you have done here and criticise the image for being too dark.
I feel that purposefully done under exposure of such subjects results in a very creative photograph. Here the exposure is done so well that it enhances the birds’ whiteness and eloquently displays the glorious back lighting on the upper bird’s wings.
Beautiful, powerful and most enjoyable viewing.
