Give my heart and finally surrender.
Be the man you need, and never falter,
Help you attain the happily ever after.
When I grow up, I’ll walk on coals of fire,
Feel no heat from that burning pyre.
Climb those stairs until I get much higher,
Cross that chasm and step from the wire.
When I grow up, I’ll keep my child like ways,
Learn to balance those good and bad days,
Clear my mind of the the old haze,
Finally exit the old and battered maze.
When I grow up, I’ll hold you close,
Scream from the rooftops, a loving boast,
Stroke your hair the way you like it most,
Be there for you, no longer a ghost.
