Happy New Year everyone!

I often stay up late, not sure if I should. Right now i am sitting on the porch with icicle christmas lights lighting my corner of this world. It’s raining, I hear the drops fall on the sidewalk, I can see them hit and end thier journey from the cloudy sky. What makes us who we are?
Is it the way we look at the world around us?
The way we were brought up?
The way we accept and regret?
The life experiences?
Or the strength to keep going?
Sometimes i think it is just the colour of the sky….but i daydream alot.

I think too much…I really do.
Sometimes I feel like i think my way into a walled off place…where thoughts become a cell that is almost impossible to escape from. It’s wierd that I do this…though in some ways I always have. Good news is a keep a spare key under the matress…
I hope they don’t find it!

There are things in this world that make us happy.
This is one of them…a shoulder and a love…completely true and without question…
To be a dad, a daddy, a father…or D as my kids call me.

this makes me happy!

It’s ok to smile along with me.

Sometimes i want to hide.
I think most of us feel that way sometimes.
It is easy to do when faced with the flicker of this screen.

Yet so many of us use it to be seen.
