I like the way the single figure plus shadow reflection mirrors the couple walking in to the picture ~ well seen, well composed, well controlled, well done

  • Alan McMorris replied

The single figure (my long suffering wife) wondered why I stopped walking. Thanks for the comments David.

My goodness this is fabulous!! Love the way you’ve captured the people. I understand the long suffering partner thing, it seems I’m always walking behind my hubby taking shots….heh.

  • Alan McMorris replied

Thank you. I will tell my wife that she’’s not alone.

What an amazing capture, I would never have thought of taking a shot in a subway in a million years, This is a really great shot.

I have been looking at this picture and I am going to make a couple of points. I agree with David (Ragman) that the whole thing is very well balanced. But I also see a more slightly abstract image in the two people further away. I really like the more Alien look to the figures, if you crop in to approx the 4th dark shadow on the left wall, you get a feeling of an ET type of image and the figures are beautifully placed. In other words you get (in my humble opinion) 2 for the price of one.
    Well done either way.

Thanks Gerry. I’ll give it a go.

Cool shot, kinda weird though! It is a bit ET like, especially the figures in the background. Reminds me of a not so enjoyable expereince in the subway of Jourdain, being grabbed and harrassed by a drunk French man at 3pm on a Thursday afternoon! Watch out – he may be lurking around your next photo!

  • Alan McMorris replied

Experiences like that are never nice. I hope it didn’t put you off Paris. Thanks Justine
