Magic Christmas Market In Germany
Last Saturday we visited the Christmas Market in Trier / Germany with all our neighbours. It´s always a magic atmosphere and this market is one of the most beautiful in Germany for sure!!!!
This is completely experimental in that I layered about 6 different images and applied the magic eraser to delete different parts of the different layers to see what would come through. I like the dream like quality that “happened”! This image kind of “peeled” itself out of the different layers.

ich bin mir sicher, dass es auch in Stralsund einen Weihnachtsmarkt gibt. Aber der Trierer Weihnachtsmarkt is wirklich eine Reise wert!

Thanks so much Dottie! I think that Klaus did an excellent job here too. Somehow it gives me a kind of “Harry Potter” feeling. It´s a bit magical somehow.

It is a wonderful description in your commentary how this beautiful image developed. I love it!! I so loved the magical Christamas holidays and Chriskindlemarkt in Munich when I was living in Germany. That was in the 80’s and of course I shot in analogue. How I wish I had a digital camera then! I will always remember Christmas following the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was an exciting time to be living in Europe. Aloha!

I didn´t know that you spent some time in Germany!!! We´re having a very cold winter this year, but we enjoy it so much, because we love snow. It´s so romantic.
